A big shout out to my parents!!

I just want everybody to know how much I love my parents. Way back when my parents adopted me from Tonga, my brother was Adopted 2 months later from Cali. We are like best friends. We are only 2 months apart. Then 10 years later we adopted my little sister Kari from Texas. We grew up with the best parents. Here are some fun memories from being a child. Coming home every day from school and having yummy after school snacks, my mom made us. We would make haunted houses throughout the house with sheets, sticks, chairs, and boxes. My parents would have to pay us quarters to get down on their knees and crawl threw our mazes of scary rooms. Me and my mom would always go to the mall and get cookies, and just hangout at times. My dad would always let me win family games. Kris was not so happy about that. I also remembered that on every Thursday when my mom would work at the temple my dad would let us stay home and go to school late. Sometimes I would go with my dad to take my mom and we would stop and get donuts and hot chocolate on the way home. I also remember having sick days from school. My dad would take us to the video store so we could pick or favorite movies to watch for the day. My mom would make us  fluffy beds on the couch, and make us anything we would want for lunch. Me, Kris, and Kari would take sick days all the time. LOL My parents would make sleighs out of boxes and we would ride them down the stairs for hours. I also remember going to Yellowstone every summer.  We would see the same hot spots every year. LOL Going on any vacations was fun. Holidays were fun and fulfilling.  Christmas time was a fun memory. My parents made it a point that we had everything we asked for. (and more) I had so much fun baking yummy treats with my mom and giving them out to the neighbors. I also want to let my mom know that Ben thinks I have really bad eating habits! Mom also taught us it's o.k. to eat cake and ice cream, and any other sugar foods for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Growing up I remembered going to the store with my parents, and getting a treat everytime. My mom was the best at making home made videos of us. She would make us change our clothes like 4 times in one day. LOL  I also liked that we would go to dad's office and hangout with him on Saturdays or days we had off. Dad always made it fun for us. He would let us pick where we would eat for the day. We also thought it was so cool to walk to 7 eleven from my dads work even though it was three doors down. Sometimes my dad would just drop us off at the theaters and we would watch like 4 movies in one day, and eat all the junk food we could take in.  Having campouts in the back yard was also fun. I would have to sleep in the middle of my parents because my dad would tell us scary stories. We also went camping, fishing, and rafting. Liked it then. Hate it now!! (2 dirty, and big ugly bugs) Food fights happened a few times at the dinner table. (FUN) At nights my mom would sing us songs that she made up for us. She would spray ghost spray in our rooms so no ghosts would come in. Found out later the ghost spray was just parfum. Things kids believe! Growing up was so much fun in our family. I just want to THANK my parents for everything they have done for us. I wouldn't want it any other way!!!!

I know I meet you when we were 14 but You guys all had nick names. I remember you were 'Princess' and Kari was 'Karbear'. I had never meet a family that all the kids had nick names. But now all my kids have nick names because I thought it was so cool. I still love your parents!!

Wow Meela, your blog is different every time I look at it. It's always cool though. It was fun hearing about your parents - I think it's awesome that you're so close with them. See you guys this weekend.
